  • is glow in the dark reflective suitable for a darkroom sign?

    Hi

I’ve got to do an acrylic sign that stands out very clearly in a darkened environment, that being an aquariumand also has to be detachable.

Any suggestions on how best to acheive this with no electrics. Glow in the dark vinyl, reflective..?

    At a loss for ideas.

not sure if im following you correctly mate but…

if its acrylic and has to glow in the dark, they might be after an "edge-lit" sign.
if its glow in the dark vinyl, i don’t know why they would stipulate perspex as a backing. anyway, glow in the dark vinyl is called photoluminecent vinyl and can be bought from a few sources. we bout a fair bit from europoint display a couple of months ago…
you can also buy photoluminecent board.

Tritium paint if you could get it, probably you cant get it but it would work.
if you you do get tell where

    Paint made from this stuff

Why not use batteries, a engraved acrylic with leds and couple of watch batteries would be bright and last a long time and be movable.
