    Hi all

quick question for you, is 3M chrome vinyl easy to remove from a vehicle?
We usually use Avery chrome vinyl but this is a nightmare to remove if stuck to the paintwork.

I have a customer who wants his vehicle written in chrome vinyl, he is willing to pay for the 3M as he wants a chrome which will last.
But it needs to be removed at the end of the lease (3 years), will the 3M come off relatively easy?

    thanks for any advice.

Niell. I have never had to remove it, How about backing it with another vinyl?
that way you would be sure..Onh top of the cost of 3m a few m’s of ordinary shouldnt break the bank

    Hi Peter

thanks for the reply, I did think of doing that to ease the problem.
Looking at a sample of 3M it is quite thick compared to the others we use.

as I’m not taking it off :lol1: , I will leave it to the customer to decide.

    thanks

Just had to strip some 5 yr outdoor chrome on a van I did at the beginning of December, to make a few adjustments. It came off a bit worrying easy to be honest. Just picked a corner and then peeled off. Didn’t leave any glue. Any comments. Does that seem right, or should I heat all the bits of chrome left on it over again. 😕
