vinyl graphic installation for a barbershop chain – the graphic was a halftone pattern in matt black vinyl – standing about 2 metres tall the branding theme was based on the alpha male and in total i installed three at different sites – i was really chuffed with the end result as i only had a 24" cutter at the time and the join line was non existent due to the matt vinyl

it took an age to cut and the ‘take’ off the application tape was poor [ i use the clear stuff ] – i’ve noticed that matt or backlit vinyl seems to have more stick than gloss and is harder to fix to the the application tape [ anybody got any suggestions for this – temperature etc??

Good job, nightmare to weed tho 😮

App tape generaly sticks better to a gloss surface. Matt and translucent are more difficult, but a good quality hi tack tape should do the job. I use transferite hi tac, never have a problem with matt at all. I have with some of the poly tapes tho. Never use them now.

Looks really nice from the photos. . I’ve seen this sort of thing done before and IMO the cut vinyl at this sort of size and this sort of effect looks as good as if not better than a digital print . . . well worth the effort.

All too easy to slap up a digital print, nice to see a bit of creativity. .. you should be well pleased. .

P.S e-mail the vector over I want 8 foot ape in my kitchen ! 😀
