    We use the NFU.
We’re also FSB members and apparently they give good rates but I haven’t tried them as yet.

    Blackstone Insurance.

They provide a lot of insurance to printers.

They came and visited my premises, and completed a thorough questionnaire so there’s no assumptions made by them. I got a better cover (cash, goods in transit, laptop) for £20 more.

After reading the small print of my last insurance cover, I wouldn’t have been covered if a fire had stated in the wheelie bin as it had to be kept 10m away from the building… which was impossible.

    10/10 for blackstone.

    NFU for me too.
I have tried Sign Elite for quotes last year and this and although it looks good for a larger company they are not set up for the small sole trader.
Sign Elite have a minimum premium of £550 which is a fair bit more than i pay with NFU.
Also Sign Elite will only insure your own vehicle under a motor traders insurance policy if you have more than one vehicle. So for a one man band using the same van for business and pleasure even taking out motor traders insurance to cover driving customers cars it will not insure your own vehicle. A big stumbling block in my view.
