Installing graphics onto new paint-new graphics-clear coat
Hi all. Im doing some work on a tractor and the customer is throwing curve balls at me increasing the risk for no real reason.
So im installing graphics onto the side engine panels, rear fender and roof. Its stripped down at the moment and in the paint shop. Ive already told him to wait a minimum of 3 weeks until i come and do the job. Today they called and now want me to install the graphics between the new paint and clear coat. (i hope they dont think this will speed up the process as it still needs 3 weeks before the clear coat) Now i understand this can be done and it looks much better and will last much longer. However i see added risks involved, its my understanding that the process and skill of adding the clear coat is vital to ensuring the graphics dont react badly and also in the future its a nightmare removing the graphics if needed.
Whats your thoughts/experience with this situation?
