  • Installing a Mimaki CG-130 FX 2 – help required, please?

    HI All

Had a nightmare of a day. It started when my Rasterlink crashed. Anyway, I have re booted my PC and installed all that and now have my JV33 up and working again. I have been trying to install, and get working my CG-130 fx 2, and don’t know what to do. I have installed Corel X4 which it was working on and fine cut 7, but I can’t get it to communicate. It is on a usb, and worked fine on a usb. Any help would be much appreciated, as I really don’t know what to do.

Thanks in advance for any help that you might be able to give.

    Dave

When you open FineCut in CorelDraw, in the bottom right of the panel, you will see the set-up button. Click on it,
and select the model of your plotter. Then click on the communication tab, and select USB. If it is showing "Port is
not found", then it means that the software is not seeing the plotter. Try clicking the dropdown arrow to see if
anything is listed there, or try clicking the Connection Test button.

    Hi Jamie
    Thank you for your reply.
I can’t get it to connect to the usb port.

I have the JV33 running for the usb port and the usb port shows as JV33-01.

But I have no other selection of ports.

    Thanks Dave

If you unplug and replug the USB cable from the CG-FX, do you hear the ‘found new hardware’ beep? If you don’t have speakers, open device manager and see if it refreshes when you unplug and replug.

Also, you could try unplugging the JV33 and see if the CG-FX suddenly becomes available….
