  • Installation of Onyx RIP Centre HP Print & Cut Edition

Hopefully one of you guys will pick up straight away on where I’m going wrong :praiseyou:

I’ve recently purchased a HP Latex 335 with the Onyx RIP Centre HP Print & Cut edition software, I was supplied with the dongle that carries the security keys but no software itself in the form of a second USB or CD.

Created an account on Onyx, and I believe it to be Onyx RIP Centre 11 that I should be working from, which you can download from the site, but having a hard time understanding where or what the ‘HP Print & Cut edition’ is, should this have been supplied as some kind of installation disk etc or is it no different to standard editions and simply just a bit of a HP marketing tag line on the end?

    Thanks for your help

The Dongle also carries the software.

From what I remember seeing when my printer was installed the first time you plug it into the windows machine it should load as a drive and give you access to the software, although you will have to update it very likely.

The keys dictate which product activates, so depending which version you paid for this should remove apps you don’t have and so on.

Nothing booted up with the USB itself, literally just security keys on there, even had do download a driver from the website of the USB manufacturer to even get that far – which is why I felt I was lacking another USB or CD.

Will see how I get on using the Onyx website download
