    Hi,
Have been using VS-640 and ecosol-max inks for about a year now but cant seem to get estimate ink useage correct!!
I seem to recall a Roland estimate of 3cc/m2 but not what the actual coverage was for that no. 30% ??
As a vast majority of my print are going full coverage need to nail this down.
Apart from deciphering the joblog has anyone any info on this?
    Thanks in advance
    Hugh

Your best bet would be the job log in VersaWorks.

There’s too many variables to give an accurate estimate, profile/media/coverage/artwork.

We don’t bother with ink estimates, we charge Per Sq/M regardless of ink coverage, the less ink the more profit, even full coverage we’re not loosing as we charge appropriately to incorporate all the running costs of the machines.

depending on volume etc we either just charge a per sqm charge like David suggested or if we have a larger job I would stick the file into VW to give me an estimate.
