i have been asked to sign a frontage, indoors, the customer has repainted the ply signboard.
Will normal vinyl stick to painted ply ?, this may seem a daft question , but i have only signed vehicles
thanks for any assistance received

Mark ,painted ply is ok but allow a week for paint to dry, and point out that when the paint starts peeling then the vinyl will also but it’s not the vinyl failing.
It’ll stick to ordinary household gloss paint, if that’s what you mean.
Just make sure the paint is completely dry. Apart from being soft for ages, gloss paint can give off small amounts of fumes for some time, which can cause bubbles to appear under vinyl.
I’ve stuck vinyl to paint that has been on for 7 days and had no problems, but you have to be careful you don’t mark the paint if it is slightly soft.
I wouldn’t warm it. If it’s indoors it should be ok, besides I think it would soften the piant if it is a gloss oil based paint, which could lead to all sorts of finger marks etc.
