    Hi everyone 😀

I’m a fair user of forums like this for all sorts of topics, and I know what a great help they can be.

Now that I am considering taking the plunge and setting up a compact vinyl cutting / application service, this looked like a good place to start.

So, I’m at the stage where I’m sorting out which cutter to buy… the Summa D60 is high on my list, but we also have a Graphtec where I work 😕

Anyway, you can be sure that I’ll be asking loads of obvious questions over the next few weeks… but in the mean time, here’s a couple to keep you all going…

Where to buy a cutter from… there are places like “Signwizard” which sell the Summa D60 with a 3yr warranty… or should I be looking anywhere else??

And what about vinyl… I’ll be using a 5-7 year vinyl and the prices from All Print Supplies in Slough seem pretty reasonable to me… but again, is there somewhere that “those in the know” use..?

Cheers everyone… and wish me luck 😆

    Hi there

I happend across a cutter/plotter second hand so I can’t really help on
that front however when you do buy one let us know how you got on
because we will be buying a new cutter in the next couple of months.

I am new to the business myself but I have found Grafityp UK LTD to
be very good. They stock most things you will need at a good price.

We also print a lot of t-shirts and have found Victory Design excellent.

    Grafityp 01827 300500
    Victory 01246 570570

    Good Luck

i have 3 rolands and 1 graphtec cutter, i would have to say. graphtec will get my next sale on a cutting plotter.
service, reliability and damn good machines come in to play.
i am not by any means saying roland mchines are not good. they are very good, i just have some issues with after sales and service.

amongst many other products, both vinyl sales and machines can be had at huge discounts via the UKSG. memberships will be re-opening shortly & will be announce on the home page.

as for vinyls. i use oracal 751 75% of the time
& mactac 9800 25% of the time.. both great vinyl.
