Hi Derek, have you tried to send straight to SL from Corel, click on the space ship on the tool bar mate.

Hi Derek,
I haven’t got signlab but when using corel I convert to curves then export as an eps, this then imports directly into my cutting program.
I don’t know if this is of any help to you or if i’ve got the wrong end of the stick.
 Cheers John

why not just import the ai file into Signlab? Rather than changing it to an eps which is more likely to cause a problem with signlab.

copy and paste works fine, or just drag and drop. Peter

Rather than changing it to an eps which is more likely to cause a problem with signlab.Derek, I believe Marcella has largely nailed it. If I understand your original post, then you are doing the following: - You have received a Corel CDR from a customer.
- You opened the CDR file in CorelDraw, and then exported as an AI file.
- You then opened the AI file in Illustrator.
- And from Illustrator, you exported as an EPS file.
- And finally you imported the EPS file into SignLab.
It does not seem practical to have all these steps, though I suspect you are doing this because you are trying to retain certain elements of the original design. To reduce the number of steps, I suggest that you open the CDR file in CorelDraw and then go File >> Publish to PDF. There are additional PDF export settings that you might be interested in, such as embedding font information. Nick’s suggestion was good: open the CDR file in CorelDraw, click the Application Launcher (the little spaceship, as you say), and choose CorelDraw to SignLab. If this is being troublesome, then would you mind contacting CADlink Tech Support to help with the issue. The expectation is that this is working for you, and perhaps a patch is in order?
