    Hi all
I thought it time I should post a message regarding vehicle outlines.
The file-swapping forum has been created for swapping/sharing files.
These files can be fonts, images, clipart blah blah blah anything signs related really.
Most files found on the net and bundled on software are royalty free, but not all.
Brian Hays owns impact sign solutions & has been interacting & helping people on this site for about a year and a half now.
Just recently I have noticed an increase in requests for vehicle outlines. Many requests
Are given an outline file & that’s that, not a problem.. The down side of it is, “not all” but some of these vehicle outlines have a copyright over them and the copyright belongs to Brian.
Brian doesn’t just sell the impact vehicle outline library; he is the original creator of these outlines and sits for hours on end hand digitising every vehicle on the UK vehicle library.
Over the last couple of months Brian Hays been in contact with me and has agreed to give UKSG members discount on many of his software products which will be announced shortly.
Over the last week Brian has submitted 3 different software CD’s to help raise money on this website for A charity run, being run by one of our UKSG members.
With all this in mind I have taken it upon myself to ask folk to refrain from posting vehicle outlines belonging to impact sign solutions.
“I am not asking you to stop requesting outlines, just that the folk replying do not use the Impact copyright versions.
I will add, “Brian has not requested me to do this” I just think its only fair.

Anyone that desperately needs an outline and their requests are not being replied to with royalty free vehicle outlines may email Brian & see if he can help. I noticed him helping many site users already. (Just don’t abuse this sort of help, as he is not obligated to help)
If you are already using an impact vehicle outline you are allowed free updates for 1 year from purchase date.

thanks for taking the time to read this notice. 😀

I`ve recently just bought “graphics 2 go & the outlines” from Brian.

Buying the 2 together go me a good deal, and I even got discount for being a UK sign member + free postage.

Brians a top bloke, I think its only right to treat him fairly.

I totaly agree with you in all respects and have been thinking the same as you Rob. Though I’m not in a position to say much about it

    Totally agree.

And whilst we’re on the subject, what about fonts? OK, many are available free, but there are an awful lot of commercial ones get swapped on here too.

Thanks Rob, I think we should also mention the MR Clipart outlines as they seem to get swapped a lot. There is a thread currently going with the Corsa on, I had allready mailed the Corsa to Mort before anything was posted.

I am quite happy to mail outlines to help people that as in Morts case are just starting up, or maybe just need a single outline for their own vehicle or if they don’t usually do vehicles so can’t justify buying an entire cd. I have over the past couple of years done this many many times. If anyone contacts me direct I will almost certainlt help them out if any of the above scenarios apply 🙂

no problem brian.. i think it is only fair and i am glad the others agree too.

i dont really check the file swappimg area to be honest. its probably the only area of the site thats doesnt need much attention.
but if anyones unhappy about certain files that have been loaded i will delete the file in question if you mail me.

if anyone really does need an outline just remember brian maybe able to help.
or you could dig deep and buy the full cd from impact, uksg members do get discount so you win no matter what way you choose 😉

I’m glad we’ve sorted that out.

Now then Brian, how about the new Vito?

I think I’m still in my twelve month period, but if not, let me know and I’ll send you the brass.

Working on a Sunday night Brian? I could have waited until the morning. 😀

We did a couple of those Vitos on Friday and, like the Astra, they are one of those vans on which it seems difficult to get a satisfactory result. However we applied the text it just didn’t look right.

    Thanks.

I mostly work 7 days a week John, just finished an outline for the particuarly ugly Renault VelSatis that was requested by somebody last week. My money is on me never being asked again though, don’t think it is one of Renaults best selling motors 😮

I’m really glad this got sorted out. When I used to troll around Letterville I was astonished at how much someone would cop if they asked for something. A reasonable request for a bit of help would be bombarded with some not so good replys.

I know Copyright should be respected and believe me I do, but a small helping hand to someone starting out can’t help can it?

I couldn’t reply to this earlier as i was away over the weekend.
On the note of the Corsa thread, i spoke to Brian via the phone and he helped me out with this one, i then went on to purchase graphics 2 go & the vehicle outlines disks, at the same time.

Best purchase i think i have made on vector software and i have bought some duff ones from pc world b4 🙁 , Thanks Brian your a top bloke.

I’d suggest any one starting out to by this great package as there is soo much on there that most of what you need you will be able to find. and within 1 or 2 jobs it’s paid for it’s self.
