THE STORY
Cheltenham; A Jockey Club Racecourse, is one of the most prestigious horse racing venues in the UK. Home to the Cheltenham Festival with a capacity of around 70,000 spectators, it is also home to the Steeplechase Hall of Fame.
THE BRIEF
Working in conjunction with Roberts Limbrick Architects and alongside Kier construction, Image Technique were tasked with implementing both the signage and way-finding strategy in tandem with delivering the digital signage and media package for the new £50 Million re-development scheme at the racecourse.
THE RESULT
As part of the phase one specification Image Technique successfully installed a 100sqm LED screen, the largest freestanding outdoor screen of its kind in the UK.
At the same time as installing the outdoor screen Image Technique also implemented a full internal and external way-finding system to identify the key areas that were developed as part of the initial phase in 2014. The second phase required to be finalised in 2015 incorporates both external and internal digital signage and media, way-finding and lifestyle graphics throughout the new Grandstand.
