Can’t help with an image sorry but another option would be to take a photo yourself of one of the companies bits of kit, done this a few times when what I wanted wasn’t easy to find & as you can control what goes into the photo plus the other factors like lighting, angle etc you get exactly the picture you want.

Hi Martin yes had thought of that, I’ve seen the image I want to use somewhere but can’t for the life of me think where. Had a look on fotolia and shutterstock and again none are what I really wanted, maybe just been to picky again lol Will have a play and see what I can muster up…Cheers guys

A few on istock.
I’ve got a non-istock manufacturer’s ‘press photos’, but far too big to upload.

I found out recently that we cannot use images from shutterstock (and presumably others) for signs on vehicles etc.. had quite a chat with a nice ladt from the states who explained it all.
depending on the license you buy, flyers are ok, websites are ok, all sorts but not vehicles or signage as this is being viewed by more people than the license… wtf!!

Yeah we have to buy extended licenses if we want to use image on Clothing and stuff so i assumed it would be the same with vehicle graphics to. Bit of a bugger really but I guess you can use them again and again on other jobs and build up a folder of usable images.. God is anyone else struggling to type with frozen fingers this morning?? Really must sort some heating out for next winter.. 😮

toasty here – working from home as waiting for a call to go and collect some embroidered stuff before heading in.
the enhanced license covers – as you say, garments and multiple uses such as flyers and so on. I found it very silly that it couldn’t be used on vans, it’s all visual advertising of one form or another.

Oh so the extended license doesn’t cover signage then?? This is the bit from fotolia for there extended license, "postcards, calendars, posters, t-shirts, print & presentations templates, where the photograph lends primary value to the product." and the normal license says it covers billboards so not sure now 😮 Might have to double check, last thing I want is someone suing us for not having the correct license….

I thought it strange, at the time I thought it best not to mention the dozen or so vehicles driving around with ‘purchased’ elements in them!

Just what I was think, this could have an interesting effect on where we get images from now.
