Illuminated POS Bottle display
Posted by Fran Hollywood on 6 May 2009 at 19:10Does anyone know of a supplier or a company that can vacuum form a bottle shape & install leds?
If they can brand the items, in house, all the better.Half bottle wall mounted or full bottle for countertops.
A client is looking for a "illuminated bottle" but "something different"?
TIA

you could try Signtrade they do Moulded letters & logos plus Domes etc, i am sure they also do bespoke stuff. I cannot see that a one off vacuum form would be viable but they may have something on the shelf or offer an alternative solution.Kev

anyway, that ones pretty much useless as its vacuum forming equipment, line bending etc they sell to the trade. i remember looking at buying a line bender from them many moons ago… some nifty products amongst their range.

Thanks Kev & Rob for the quick replies.
@Kev Thanks for the link. I’ve looked into Vac forming before. Tooling costs can kill a project if it’s for a small run. We have used polystyrene foam in the past to act as the tool. It’s only suitable for single use though.
@Rob Thanks for the tip & links, downloaded the toolbar but haven’t closed firefox yet. 😕
I thought that their might be a specialist supplier that did the pub/off trade/supermarket bottles for coke, carlsberg etc etc. Maybe not.

if its a one off mate you could have the bottle formed then reverse print and backed in white and have it wrapped into the bottle rear?
i dont know if you can vacuum form acryclic with pre-laminated printed wrap. but i remember seeing in one of the mags a couple of years back an "ant and dec" saturday night show logo that had done done something similar with big domes.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the info.
It’s price for 25, 50, 100 and see what they can get for a certain budget.
Must be a product launch as no artwork is available but it’s a larger brand. -

This link is to a company that I was part owner of a few years back, we did many of these bottle formes, but I must point out that the set up costs are very high.Peter
