Have a customer currently being charged an exorbitant rate for a sticker on 3M material. Is this a run of the mill vinyl or something special??

Details I have are from the backing paper where the print is in green:

    3M 467MP
    200MP Adhesive

    Advice warmly welcomed

    it’s this stuff.

Not what I’d call run of the mill vinyl – it’s a performance adhesive tape.

Likely a ‘standard’ sticker that’s been backed in this for extra adhesion.

    Price is a bit expensive. 6 in x 180 yd 2.0 mil
    – 2 rolls would set you back £350!

    hi there
sorry Graeme as a supplier I can’t reply to you earlier pm. Can you e-mail me and I’ll reply with all the info. The codes you list are for a product which is best described as "glue on a roll"……4ft double sided tape…..so i’m guessing it’s been used to give adhesive to another product, but as I say mail me then I can help you further

    Gill

I’ve got some generic (and used the real Scotch / 3M previously) ‘glue on a roll’ and it is pretty expensive stuff – I think I was about £80 or £90 for a 150mm x 100m roll…well in excess of £150 for the ‘genuine’ stuff.
Once had it specified for the rear of hospital door plates.

It’s a nightmare if you get it on something you didn’t intend…just balls up into a lump of super sticky glue. Dire when (not if) your trimming get stuck to your bench / carpet / clothes as there is no internal structure to lift it off like d/s tape…it’s just glue.

Still – I’d love to have the tender for THAT job…not an MOD / GOV one is it…they are well known for paying over the odds for speciality items.

You know the phrase and it includes "nail, hit and head" :lol1:
