  • Ideas on 3d-built up letters please?

A local pub is changing it’s image and has asked for a price for individual bronze letters that will oxidize and change to green "verdigris" over time.
I’ve done work for them before and know they will baulk at the price of real bronze or copper letters so I’m trying to pre-empt them by coming up with an alternative.
All I can think of is 5mm Ali letters sprayed to look the part – but will it ever look authentic?
    Anyone any ideas?

    Regards
    Martin
Happy Paddy’s Day by the way! (hot)

You can create Verdiris effects easily Martin and lacquer over them…have done it a lot and it’s one of the easier effects to achieve

Cheers Harry – looks like I’m about to learn a new skill….

maybe we could help each other out in the future as I get quite a few calls from "over the border"…
Anyway, I’m about to call it a day and go out on the lash….(now where’s me shamrock…?)

    Hi Harry,
I’m being mod-edited out of existence here for some reason – I have no idea why I’m registered as a supplier – I’m a sign maker and lecture in Sign making for the BSGA – I also specialise in acrylic built-up letters, which might account for it…
