Is there such a thing as Wrappers Cramp? The reason I ask is because for the last week or so, whenever I’ve had a spare hour at work I’ve been re-wrapping my Capri. Yesterday I noticed a slight twinge in the muscle of my right arm (but not so bad that it was affecting my ability to do my job). Today the twinge appears to have gotten a bit worse to the extent that it hurts a bit when I lift my right arm above shoulder height. I went to my doctor and he told me not to go lifting my arm above shoulder height ..

So my question is – is this a recognised ailment similar to repetitive strain injury and would I be entitled to compensation if I was to sue myself for industrial injury? :awkward:

I’d be pretty sure there’s something. Wrapped 7x Citroën c1 roofs one after the other a couple of months ago and had pains in my arms and chest for weeks. I put it down to stretching the material when applying. Won’t do that again if I can avoid it!

At this time of year, as long as you can lift a glass high enough there shouldn’t be any problem!

I agree. Just had a customer call in with a present. Seems he was delighted with the job we done on his bin lorry 🙂

Staple drink here in Ireland, that and Guinness. I’d prefer Coors but never was one look a gift horse in the mouth. With 2 weeks off for Christmas and my 2 little sh1ts off school I’m guessing I’ll drink anything with alcohol lol

Used to love Harp when I was a lad. Not seen it in years.

I used to make it, years ago before I became a signmaker. It was brewed under license at Scottish Brewers in Edinburgh

Phill, sounds like you have a mild shoulder impingement caused by, or in addition to, some tendonitis, which is why you felt the twinge in your arm. It is effectively, a repetitive stress injury, I’ve got it too although I did it in the gym, at least you did it earning money!

Yes it can easily be caused by something like wrapping a vehicle because your tendons at the forearm will be under tension and twisted a lot of the time. Using a mouse on a PC for hours on end is also big culprit for this by the way.

Hope this helps solve the mystery
    Paul

I’ve a pain in my b@ll@x. Is that an industrial injury?

It’s definitely been caused by work.
