I need some advice please :)
I have an urgent job this week that involves a yellow to red fade down the whole sign, about 6 metres long.
The previous shop has been spraying the top of a yellow base material to get the desired effect. Problem is, no two signs are the same, and this guy has a rather large fleet. Individually the buses look good, but together in the yard, not one has the same fade line, and the owner wants something that is consistant.
I did one job already and I printed the yellow to red fade, and he was over the moon. But, given that yellow fades first, I was wondering if I could print the red fade on a yellow stock, say 551. Then laminate it with 215 hi performance laminate.
Would this work?
Has anyone done this before?
I have to print this on tuesday, and I don’t think I’ll have time to play with the concept before then. I’ll probably bite the bullet and give it a go, but would be happier if someone out there has tried something similar already, that may help me save time.
Thanks in advance
Shane
