I’m hoping you can help me!!!!

We have just purchased a TJet 1971C Eco printer,
When purchased we had problems with the ink coming through, we seem to have rectified this but are now having problems transferring files from Main top Software to the Tjet software,

There are already files on the TJet software, which are being imported from a file on the PC, these files are printing correctly, This is work that was done by the previous owner,

We don’t seem to be able to direct the files from Main top to the said folder,
When we click on printer settings we have the option of TT – 4C Eco NE01
    or TT-4C Eco 1 NE00

When we click on either of these neither of them direct the file to the folder or the TJet Software.

We have been told to click on Install Maintop Printer and enter Epsom DX7 but we don’t seem to have that choice available, There are several printers listed but none that seem to match what we have been told or the Tjet.

Maintop outputs to the Epson control software and prints automatically leaving a copy of the ripped file in the control software print folder.

Maintop is antiquated and clunky to say the least…….I upgraded to Photoprint ( Flexisign) which is in a different leauge.

the printer is great when set up……if no ink is drawn through when you run a clean use a pippette to drop some cleaning fluid into the cap top…..because there is no self cleaning it dries the seal……….a little cleaning fluid fixes this.

If the printer is printing from the previously ripped files then this is a software set-up issue.

The maintop driver from memory is TT-4cECo………..

Why wont Photoprint open? No dongle in the laptop?

Can you not contact the previous owner?

i did contact him but his wife ran the shop and the printer but they have split up and he got rid of it to two blokes because he could not get the ink to come through and he didnt have a clue the blokes who i bought it off said that there was a problem with the capping station and that the previous owner had changed it but put the wrong one on to be honest i dont think they had a clue as i spent 10 min on it and got the ink working and i have no knowledge of these or any printers but im thinking that they have changed some settings or something in the software but i have no idea what im doing

Neither Photoprint nor Maintop will operate without a dongle atatched to the laptop.

The Epson control software does not need a dongle…..hence you can print previously ripped files ( done when the dongle was fitted)

Yes but you will need to transfer the drivers from the photoprint on your laptop.

    Hello Gary

Both Photoprint and maintop rip need to work with the dongle key.

However, even you got the dongle key for the photoprint, you won’t be able to print properly if it doesn’t have the output driver & icc profiles for your printer

I suggest you find the dongle first.
Then install the maintop again, and then you should link the printer to the maintop software by customize the printer model into the rip

I know that this printer is from China using epson dx7 head

If you need further help I will try to get the manual for you from China

    Best regards

I have been running one of these printers for nearly 3 years.

I run it with Photoprint and have the Photoprint drivers and profiles for it.
