Dropped a job off to a client yesterday, she wasn’t there so I left it at her office door (car magnetics).

    Got this email last night:

Too bad I wasn’t here when you delivered the sign.
You could have seen me jump around like an idiot. I looooooove it.
Really did not expect it to look that great, …..and match the rest of the sign.
Did not even think of that!!

She’s a really nice lady, but its the first time I’ve been given a free ‘reign’ to do what I think. Normally she ‘tells’ me how she wants it done….

    … I love it when a plan comes together :lol1: 😉

Frame that e-mail Shaney, they don’t come along very often.

I suppose customers don’t realise just how much effort we put in sometimes. It’s nice on the rare occasion when they actually appreciate it.

I had a similar e-mail the other week, something like "I’ve just seen my lorry, looks great". That was all it said, but it was more satisfying than receiving his cheque!

    Thanks friends 😛

The thing I laughed at was the comment ‘really didn’t expect it to look so great’ :lol1: Nice to know that she would have been happy with something of lesser quality.

It was a nice comment at the end of a mongrel day though.

Brian… you nutter :lol1: :lol1: . Actually I quoted on a sign a little while back, was told I was way too dear and they gave it to someone else. That sign shop rang me and asked if I’d do it as a contractor because they were short staffed. I quoted them the same price as my original quote, and they said the price was ‘spot on’.

Ended up doing the job, got the same money etc, but was really disappointed because the original client raves to everybody what a great job he had done, and rubs my nose in it that I missed it because I was too dear.

I know better though. I’ll tell him one day, at the most inappropriate time 😎 :lol1:
