I am looking into a Mimaki JV3-75 Printer with cutter
Posted by Craig Bond on 22 May 2007 at 22:40Is there anything I need to know that I haven’t thought about? Has anyone encountered any problems with this machine? Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome!!

Craig, I don’t know is there?
Having no idea what you have thought about it is a bit difficult to try and answer your question, lots of people use this printer and it is a tried and tested workhorse so you shouldn’t have any problems. Maybe if we knew what you had thought about, what you are looking to do with it and what sort of plotter you are considering someone may be able to help a bit more.

As Martin said the best machine for you is really dependent on what you want the machine to do.
This may or may not be of interest to you, but I confirmed my order today for the wider Versacamm VP540 to replace the Versacamm SP300 that I bought nearly 3 years ago. I will be sorting out an advert for it in the next couple of days.

I might be wrong here but AIT didn’t sell enough of the JV3 75’s so now we have the JV3 130’s version released by mimaki which is a better size.

Just out of curiosity Vale 46?….
What did you get offered in part-ex for you sp-300? (thinking of upgrading myself)
Cheers

Sorry I guess I was a bit vague!!
What I meant to say is, has anybody encountered any maintenance problems with this machine. I know its qualities suit my needs but I just wanted to know any experiences of the reliability of it. Obviously it would be under a warranty but still you don’t want a machine that keeps breaking down.

joeI shall tell you in two weeks, but I do think it is a decent price. 😉

Craig, No problems whatsoever.
Switch it on in the morning, print stuff all day, five minute clean, switch off in the evening.
If only everything in this life worked like that.
