HP Printers is it worth the price difference
Posted by Gary Barker on 25 April 2017 at 17:47Hi All, HP latex printers, need advice please, is the price difference between 330 to 360 (335 – 365) worth the price increase, from what I can see the only difference is (print textiles with the ink collector) & (HP Custom Substrate Profiling) who has the 330/335 version I wished they had bought the 360/365 and why?
Thanks Gary

The extra speed was the main reason I went for the 360. But it does double sided printing automatically, can create its own profiles etc. I am really pleased with it and have just added a HP FB550 on the back of how good the latex was.

Thanks Ruairi, once you have created your profiles do you actually need the use of it again ?

Speed is a big benefit, as in from booting up, starting jobs. yes you only wait a couple of minutes but once your used to the faster setup of the 360 it is very frustrating dealing with the wait.
the touch screen visual guidance is another. yes other latex models have a smaller screen etc but far from the same thing.
500 series range have really ironed out a few more simple yet great additions to the latex machine.
The Ink used is different in the 360+ series range also, and you also use an optimiser cart.
we have two Latex machines, 26500 and 360. both are brilliant and serve us well daily. but i am considering moving to 500 series or at least both machines to be 360. if nothing else i am then only buying same ink types. -
ok thanks Rob, just been reading other posts, will I have a problem when doing panel printing and contour cutting with a summa cutter, If I buy a Latex machine do you think?

I have an L26500 (onyx rip) and contour cut daily with a summa, very few issues 🙂
