How to remove metal border from shop front sign? and replace
Hope somebody can help me.
Sorry to ask such a basic question but I am new to this business. I need to remove large perspex sign from my friends shop and apply new graphics. It has a metal frame around it. My question is what is the best way to remove the metal frame as I think there must be a correct way of doing it rather than brute force and a screwdriver!
Any help would be much appreciated

attack one end, usually a well corroded screw in there, attack with brute force and a jemmy bar when screw screws up! slide out panels, replace the other way around.

You will get more help if you post in the say hello forum and tell people a little about yourself.
As for the frame, as Tim says it depends what sort it is but if it is just a border type frame then most of them have one end which is secured with a self tapping screw. Remove the screw (top and bottom) and then remove end of frame, if its been up a while you may need to drill out the screws and use something like a rubber mallet to remove end frame.
Once removed the panels will slide out, again depending how long its been up will depend how easy this is, if more than one panel they may be locked together, different ways this is done.
You may be able to turn the boards round and use the other side for new graphics but if there is a hanging strip fitted you won’t be able to do this.
