    yep, this is where I learnt it to as well.

    Place / PDF / Linked and then "flatten it", it then converts to curves and the file will get bigger.

    Corel has been able to do it to a degree for a while but to be honest depending what font it is can give unpredictable results so for a general fix to font issues and transparency problems when ripping or importing I use Pstill from http://www.pstill.com. Not expensive and invaluable if you are taking in files from others.

    It is Dave and very effective to. The author is very approachable and we have exchanged several emails and he has altered things to suit. I have other colleagues of mine who use it and find it an essential addition to the software collection.
