    Hello again guys,

Hope you all had a wicked bank holiday and are ready for more work. 😉

Now that I’ve finally got my cutter working, thanks to some ace people on here, I’m having some issues with getting straight lines and corners.

I’m using Plotterflex vinyl from The Transfer Press. At the moment every corner and edge is a touch wobbly and rounded. There are also some bits that aren’t joined up. I’ve tried adjusting the pressure and the blade offset but I’m not altogether sure what I’m doing so I thought I’d ask the experts again.

Any ideas on what settings I should be using?

Oh, it’s a PCUT 630 and WinPCsign is the software.

Sounds like you have possibly missed the material with one of the pnch rollers, causing the vinyl to go out of track. Check to make sure you’re using all pinch rollers. On my Summa D120 there are only certain places where you can have them and if they aren’t in those specific place they don’t pinch and the material isn’t held straight.

    Thanks for the reply, Robert.

I do have my pinch rollers in place though. It’s all held pretty firm and the area is quite small. It’s not the vinyl that’s moving around.

It’s most likely the blade offset.

Start with it at 0.25mm and play from there.
