Depends on what drawing app you’re using – I’d probably use Corel and fountain fills. If you look at the original you can see it’s been made up from a circle (disk) and overlaid by a rectangle with the globe dropped on top.

Hi Neil, thanks for the reply.
it turns out that the grey bit is supposed to be tyre tread pattern….so now i have to create a tread pattern instead, how do i get something like that to go around the globe….?

I dont have a problem with sourcing an image to use for the tyre tread, i just arent sure how to curve it around in a circle….

In Easysign i would create a stroke pattern like a tyre track for the rectangle, duplicate and
effect > arc fit
Creates the pattern in a circle.Done

Hi Ian, sorry i am using corel draw x3.
I tried opening your file, but it just gives me a blank page…

Im Corel I would put one of the tyre marks at say 12 o’clock on the world circle then double click it and move the centre it rotates around to the centre of the world circle. Duplicate it and rotate.

Looks good to me, Stephen. I think the original has a fatter tyre, but maybe your version is more modern – low profile? 🙂

Hi Neil, what i thought was to not make such a bit issue of the "chunky" tread thickness they had before and slim it down a little and i hope it looks better?
What about the font and the drop shadow, they fit do you think?

Maybe tempted to change the dark shadow for say a 10% or 20% black (grey), otherwise they’re likely to merge when viewed from a distance.

Maybe a shade lighter grey – but that’s only my preference, you’ll need to decide on that yourself. I know quite a lot of folk who would take it for granted that the company’s URL is tyres.com, so I’d be tempted to change that to simply ‘tyres’, and add the full URL separately.

Yes i can see what you mean about the url.
saying that, that is similar to what they had previously, except it was below the logo…I’ll let you know what the customer says….
Cheers
