  • How much would you charge for this Van?

Posted by Tehmoor Khan on 24 July 2018 at 16:35

    Hi All,

Im curious to know what everyone would charge for the attached van.

I know everyones prices will be different due to operating costs etc…

However, just curious to get some feedback.

Panels are printed on a 3-5 year Full colour vinyl + matt laminated.

    Vinyls are a Oracol vinyl

    Regards

I’ve not got my laptop to work out the sizes, but a quick geuestimate and working out.

You’ll not get the two side panels side by side out of a 1370 roll, perhaps out of a 1600 but I don’t think so, so you’ve a lot of waste there. Same with the back door, that will likely need to go up the media, creating waste.

    Full colour parts I’d be at least £50 Sq/M… Guessing 3000x800mm each side, 1800×1000 rear, 6.6 m2 @ £50.00 = £330

The Orange numbers I’d be doing out of a cad vinyl, say 2m @ 610, £20 PLM
The blue text should come from a 610mm roll too, so same as above 4m @ 610, £20 PLM £120.00

You’re going to demolish a few meters of knifeless tape, and a couple of hours to clean & fit -£160

£610 as a starting point, if the customer’s a bit tight, I’d maybe go in under £600, if they’re really keen and want it doing ASAP, more towards £650.

Im not sure if this is SWB or MWB Sprinter from the visual. based on SWB or maybe even MWB.
You could tile the side panels on the panel join. rotate and get out the width of a 54inch wide roll of digital.
    "maybe" same with rear.
lets say total linear metres are 5m, sold at £75 per metre for a polymeric calendered, laminated print.
    Total: £375
Cut vinyl for the rest and install…
I would be £500-£550 max. but keep in mind im unsure sizes off hand!

I also dont know who designed it, was it simple enough or done from scratch?

costs also really depend on width of printer, what you can next into the linear metres of vinyl and so on.
Cut vinyls a doddle and quick to fit.

i agree you will use a bit of knifeless tape on this but you could also be using wrapcut at a fraction of cost. all a preference thing though.
