How do you get the shadowing behind the letters please?

I usually paint mine in.

The UKers shadow to the right, we Yanks shadow to the left
(an observation not a fact)
When doing them in cut vinyl, I layer them.
The shadow goes on first, then the lettering.
I usually just eyeball it but you can also cut registration marks.
I always try to make the shadow a little darker than the background of the sign.
Like as if the sun were really creating the shadow.
Nothing worse than seeing bright yellow shading on a black sign.

sorry i should of been more clear, how do i get shadowing in the first place using corel draw x3?

how do you unite the letters? i think that chap is using different software

select all the letters you want to join….go to arrange and then weld.
Then buy a membership!!! 😀 😀 (You wont regret it…..seriously)

Thanks for that, got it sorted now, can you leave a gap between the shadow and the letter with corel?
i’ll buy a membership soon, ive spent out trying to set this up for my girlfriend and cant afford it just now, looks like there are some good tutorials on here though, more info than you’ll ever need!!
