    Hi Guys,
As I’ve recently purchased a couple s/h tablet PCs theirs a few scratches on them,
I was wondering if their was a way to polish out the scratches or partly remove them from the screen, I’m wondering what’s the best for Plastic and glass screens
    what do you guys use,
as an add on both screens are touchscreen and lcd
    Ray:)

They may have an anti-glare coating and you may find you just make them worse.

I use something called ICE Creme, it’s made for this sort of thing but it’s up at the unit Ray. Will have a look tomorrow to see if there are any contact details or a manufacturers name.

I use it to clean up laptop screens and it does seem to do a good job.

i use windolene…the pink bottle of window cleaner works brilliant and leaves a nice guard to the screen, i even use it on my blackberry, that stays shiny for days, dont use too much though, just wet a cloth and apply a wee bit then apply, and have a buffing cloth ready to make it shiny 😀

Ray, nothing on the bottles to say who makes it or where I got it but did a google search and found these.

The top links are the stuff I have the bottom one looks to be the same sort of stuff. The option Nicola put up is probably the cheapest so might be worth trying first. Can’t remember if I tried windolene when I was looking for something to remove scratches from laptop screens so can’t comment further on it. For general cleaning I just use IPA.

Harry was your screen actually scratched or just dirty??

Ray, I have both the "A" & "B" bottles of ICE Creme, had them for ages and used them on quite a few screens now. You don’t need a lot so although the bottle is quite small it seems to last ages.

I know it’s not helpful, as I’ve never scratched one of my screens, but we use furniture polish on the crash helmet visors. Don’t know who tried it first, but bikers have been using it for years.

If it’s glass, you can G3 it and polish it as you would paintwork.
