not sure on cs3 – still on cs2 here at the moment.
When you go to save as an eps (File->Save as, then select illustrator eps as file type), it comes up with an option to legacy save it in Illustrator 3, 8, 9 or cs2 (probably cs3 for you too)
My cutting software (Signblazer) will only cut from an Illustrator 8 eps or older.
Try that.Oops. You said photoshop. Sorry. Photoshop doesn’t do vector files. It’s a bitmap program.

so would i be better getting adobe illustrator then is it better for creating eps files to work with the winpcsign software

I’ve never used winpcsign, but you’ll need Illustrator rather than Photoshop for Vector graphics (that’s from Adobe anyway – there are many others around too.)
Personally, I use Illustrator, but a lot of people here use other software -
that was the software that came with cutter so i will use that for a while then upgrade later once im a bit more confident with that software np mate i will get myself a copy of illustrator
