how do i remove a background in corel please?

Are you changing it to vectors? If so just do a corel trace in draw.
if not ,you just want the image draw a selection box around it and cut and paste to a new window.

Use the crop tool , define the area and then right click and select “crop to selection” and save the image , import the image into draw.

If you need to crop image into round shape or any other shape or font (text).

It’s simple in Corel DRAW.

Just draw a circle with circle shape tool than, select image and go to:

-Effects
(down there you’ll see
-Power Clip)
-Place Inside Container

With black arrow click on the circle. Image will be inside the circle. But if image is not in right position then go again to;

-Effects
-Power Clip
-Edit Contents
(then you can move image into right position)
So if you are satisfied with position, than go again to;

-Effects
-Power Clip
and click on
-Finish Editing This Level.

I assume you mean you are editing a bitmap image from within corel draw i.e. you selected edit image in photopaint button.
If so and the required shape is a simple rectangle, the simplest way is to use the rectangle mask tool. Drag the mask to the required shape and adjust if necessary using mask transform tool. Then select create object from mask. On closing photopaint you are asked if you wish to save changes to bitmap in draw. Click yes. Back in draw ungroup the bitmap and delete the background. Hope this helps.

i think this should work with corel paint & corel draw, it works with photoshop.

just select the bit you want, hit “ctrl” “c” (copies to the clipboard) in corel draw hit “ctrl” “v” (paste), job done !
