  • how do i print Laminate Return Cut on Roland SC-500?

Hi guys. My steep learning curve is going to plan 😕

I’ve found that Grafityp are the most helpful people in the world, …ever and have finally got some media to print on, not to mention the correct profile. Thanks for nothing Roland…..

I’d like to laminate a printed image before returning it to the Soljet for cutting but can be blowed if I can work out how to re-align to the crop marks for cutting. It’s dawned on me that the SC-500, unlike the new Soljets and Versacamms, may not support this feature. I’m using Colorchoice 4.5, is it possible and if so can anyone give me a brief tutorial please.?

Cheers Chris. I’m b*ggered if I can work it out! I don’t have the manual unfortunately, the online manual doesn’t touch on the subject either.

    Hello,

In the software there should be a command to print with Crop Marks, this will tell the SC-500 to print and put down crop marks.
Then take it out and laminate or what ever you want to do with it.
When you re-load it you have to use the front panel of the printer to get it to read the crop marks (on the Versacamm you can do this in the software, but the SC-500 you have to use the printers front panel).
Dont remember exactly what the option is on the LCD.
Then just send the cut data.

    Best regards

You’re a star! I’ll give it a whirl later and then post what the commands were.

Was preparing to cut clear vinyl in the form of the lettering and laminating by hand 😕
