  • How do I know if I need to change my printheads?

I have a mimaki JV2 and for some reason, when I print, the colors are bleeding into each other? I printed a file that i had previously done with no problems and now the problem occurs?

It seems that too much ink is being laid down and are mixing before it has a chance to dry?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Have you inadvertantly changed to a different print profile? These make all the difference to your printers output. Check that you are still using the same profile as before this problem occured.

first thing I think of is heat in the plattern… second is surface of print… third is too much ink coming out of heads (ink limits)

are you new to a JV2?

    i figured it out…

the setting on the machine was on 360dpi extended… i had been running 360dpi previously…

    thanks for everyones help!

tho this process was a little stressful, it has provided me with an alternative way to produce my prdts with better colors…. so all in all, the trouble was worth it!

pretty new… i have had the machine for 1 yr, but since i don’t really change settings and profiles, i never explored the various functions…

if you know of any tendencies and habits of mimaki’s, i would definitely like to hear them…

    thanks again!
