how do i fix the printer spooler message in xp?
windows xp has just told me that my printer spooler is not working and now all my printers have disappeared from the printer list. physically they are still there I know this because I can see them.
what’s happened? can i fix it ?
all help appreciated in laymans terms if possible.

im not a techy person when it comes down to computers mate, but could you not do a system restore?
* start
* programs
* accessories
* system tools
* system restorethen set it back 24hrs and i would imagine it would see it again?
it may not be the fix you need but maybe a quick fix to get you up and running again? -

That’s the first thing I did. actually thought of my self as really clever. alas no change.will try to go back further and see if that makes a difference.

I would try simply re-installing all of the printers.
