  • how do i fit 5×8 sky board sign to breeze block?

    hi every one.

i need to fit a 5×8, 3mm sky board sign to breeze block. I’m framing the sign using unitrim frame from smp. now, i was wondering whether the frame is strong enough to drill and mount the top and bottom of the frame to the wall, slide the sign in and then attach the side parts. i thought by doing it that way, no visible fixings. just wondered if any one had any better ideas than this, as you can tell first time ive had to fit, and i don’t want a huge sign falling onto someone…lol

Should be fine as long as there’s enough fixings.
But put the frame up complete, remove an end, slide the panel in and replace.

i was thinking of drilling and fixing it 1 foot intervals just to be on sfe side.
point taken about putting frame up complete, once board slid in though i wouldnt be able to screw that one side piece as board covering holes??

There should be small corner brackets on the frame ends to screw it all together.

Should have been a bit clearer, you shouldn’t need to fix the two uprights to the wall only top and bottom parts of the frame.

right i get you, but as long as plenty of secure fixing that should be sound and safe. thanks
