can do that no probs but in flexi you can just tell it a size from baseline and job done is this the only way???

    Richard,
If you select the last 2 characters of the line ie: the N & S you will notice that underneath the box that adjusts the kerning (letter spacing) you will notice 3 buttons A², A2 (this should be a small 2 on the base line)and A2.
if you click the A² the S will become superscript – well it does in SL7.

That works but can you change the amount in which it comes off the baseline??
    😀 😀

Same as steve but if you right click the subscript/superscript box you can adjust the variables

I don’t know, I wouldn’t have thought so SL is a bit crude as a text editor. What happens if you make the S a little bit smaller before you apply the superscript function, say all the text is 50mm reduce the S to 40mm then apply the function.

Er don’t know what Peter said but if you right click the text with the button selected you can change it – just found that out while fiddling.

I’m well behind here with the replies – I have a manual that came with version 5, it about as much use as chocolate teapot.
I think I’ve learnt most from the videos I got with version 7, the ones available on the Cadlink site and a good deal from this site ie: Peter and Nick Minall.
There used to be Cadlink tech who visited the site but I haven’t seen him post for a long time.

The manual that came with flexi sign was massive, any thing you needed to know was in it, the one that came with signlab 8 is about 20 pages !!
would like to buy a complete cd I have looked at the videos and have got most thing sorted .

I agree with Steve for a high end, bespoke sign programme SL text handling is down right poor, if Cadlink were to compare it to Corel and some of the others they would realise how far behind it is.
The A2 solution is the most practical one I know of – but how clumsy.
