Corel has Corel Trace and Illustrator I think has similar both will convert bitmap to vector for cutting. You will get vastly superior results from Signlab. You will have to do some node editing to get the perfect shapes you require, again Signlab is easier with arguably the best node editing functions available.

hi steve i have 2 to do one is r1 2000 model tank (yamaha) it has to be slightly bigger to cover original as it is laquered into paint
the other is (graphic art moto design) a company i think from the usa they make tail pieces etc carbon fibre stuff
if you want i can email all to you so you can see what i mean i am also after r6no like the same as r1 but i need it to cut out as one piece as it is to be used as a mask for sand blasting i have the r1 but i cant seem to get the r6 to weld together to cut as one
hope you can understand this
i have just read it and now i am confused 😮 -
There is a REALLY easy way to do this.
Tape the existing sticker to a bright window.
Tape a piece of regular white printer paper over it.
Trace the graphic with a fine-line Sharpie or other
good black marker with a fine point.
Then, scan your tracing and import it into your
sign program.
I have Gerber Graphix Advantage software.
I go to “scan to vector” in my “file” menu.
Sometimes I have to save the scan as a B&W .bmp,
then go to “place image” then “raster to vector”.
That’s it. You may have to clean it up a bit
by erasing the odd node, but I do this ALL the time.
(if the graphic is bigger than 8.5×11″, this won’t help!)
