    Hello

Basic stuff that’s been discussed before but…..anyway:

I have to fit two sheets of forrex in a ali frame with the hanging strips an was wondering whats the best way to keep them tight together?

Don’t fancy trying to fit them together before sliding them in!

Attach a series of "fingers" to the back of each panel using double sided tape. The fingers should be increasingly shorter to allow you to slide the panels together.

If using unitrim you can order springs to fit in the end pieces which keeps the panels pushed together under tension. Otherwise a couple of self tappers through the sign panel into the fingers will hold the panels together. Cover the screw heads with vinyl circles the same colour as the panels to hide them

1/ If you have a router then rebate the joining edges of the panels, and fit tensioning springs in the ends of the frame.
    2/ use panelocks from smp
3/ make your own overlaps by glueing foamex strips to the join.

Phill, your diagram is not very clear, I presume one side has an overlapping piece to form a mortice and tenon type join?

Nope – I don’t think I mentioned anything anywhere about mortice and tenon type joins – where did you get that from?
