  • How do i bend acrylic curve?

Posted by Sign Age on 17 December 2007 at 06:04

Anyone has got any idea how to bend a strip of acrylic into curve? I know it is fairly easy to bend them into angle using heating bar / strip heater but got no clue on how to bend them into curve and hold them in shape.

    Would definitely appreciate any assistance.

Merry Xmas and a joyful 2008 for all!

Get some pdf particle board etc.

Mark out your curve. Hammer in some nails on the curve. Put some on the outside just a few to hold the acrylic in place. Heat in an oven and bend it around the nails and let it cool down.

    thanks.

What if the strip is very very long and there is no oven of such size to melt it?

My guess is then you need a massive table top heater or something.

Hopefully someone who does it can post how they do it.
