  • How can i turn an image into a airbrush effect?

Posted by Colin Hibbitt on 21 December 2010 at 14:25

    Hi Guys

got this fairground ride to wrap approx 40ftx20ft

we need to design a background consisting of images around Dancing

The ride is called Rhythm Dancer

Any image which can be supplied to me would be most gratful

Question is – How can i turn an image into a airbrush effect like they have when the real airbrush tool is used on vehicles – not to cartoon looking but real life looking images???

Oh dear, Fred Fowle would turn in his grave. We are now wrapping fairground rides?

No disrespect Colin you are probably not the first but it’s a shame another art form dies.

Got a fairground lorry booked in January. Don’t really want to do it to be honest as the painted ones look so good. Probably end up doing the whole ride I think. I know there is an artist who now offers digital print for rides but don’t know who it is.

    hi
have you had any luck. i do a fair bit of tis type of work and i’m full time looking for images big enough to make up a collash(?). i was never able to make the right airbrush effect myself.
i’d be real interested in how you get on.
