  • how can i break/ungroup artwork in Illustrator CS Help?

Just been sent some very complicated artwork in Illustrator. I’m wanting to break the artwork up into in to various panel sizes (like cut and paste inside, in Freehand.) The artwork is also in layers. Is there a simple way to basically draw a box to the size I want, and paste the artwork inside so I can use just a section of the artwork.

    Cheers.

I usually ungroup everything and then crop what I don’t need. It’s a bit long winded to do but works for me.

Failing this, I export into my cut programme and let that tile the job.

    Did this help at all?

Email or post up the file so we can see it and it may help.
