  • how accurate are vehicle library templates?

    Hi Guys,

I have a customer who’s van i done last week, however he has asked me to supply & install highway chevrons on the rear. Could somebody tell me how accurate the Impact templates are if i was to draw the chevrons using one, ie a Mercedes Sprinter 2001. If so i will purchase the Impact version, currently using Spandex software but i have noticed a few templates are not so accurate.

    Many Thanks

    Lee

Impacts outlines are no good for that, if you are after a diamond grade lit its easier to buy in a pre cut kit. If its just regular chevrons take a square on photo & measurements trace your shape and check. Chevrons are @60 degrees simple enough to set up

    Thanks Kevin,

Yes just standard chevrons, not being used for night time, just highway maintenance during the day,

That was my other option to do that, takes a bit of time but a lot less time than doing it on the panel itself with knifeless cut tape.

    Thanks again

There are so many places doing pre cut kits, i’d never waste my time making my own
