Been browsing other peoples work for a while now..thought I’d share this with you..excuse the quality of the pic. This is my first go at producing something with vinyl, I only hope it stands up to the extremes of the Italian climate

It’s mdf with four undercoats, five top coats and a generous helping of frog juice!

that looks really good paul, i like the bow efect, or is it a bow stuck on ? either way, it looks nice !

i’m currently doing small ‘users of this pool do so at their own risk’ signs for a group of guys n gals who rent out their spanish villa’s, they all insist on fixing them with gripfill so i didnt worry too much about using a 10mm rigid pvc, figuring the glue will hold it should it feel like warping, time will tell i guess, i did suggest a harder material but they wanted cheap !

    nice though !

nice finish on the backing panel ….. Im sure it will be just fine out in the Itallian climate!! Did you make the little bow on the bottom too ?

Sorry should have asked last time when I asked the last question? 😳

I came across the little wooden embellishment in B&Q!!.
I originally wanted to buy some resin blanks but they were around £50 a piece and as my bro wanted two signs doing, the cost was getting a bit on the high side, the cost of paint and other materials came to around £40 so I can charge a bit more for my time.

    350

nice work mate & thanks a million for showing…
like carrie says the little bow finsihes it off well…
i too bought some of these flourish type things to add to a sign a while back. does the job nicely and gives it a little extra to the norm for this type of work.

    Thanks for sharing Paul
    Looks great
It’ll stand up to the weather with all those coats on
I only give one prime, two undercoats and two gloss

Mind you I use MDF Exterior (with care of course) :lol1:

Thanks Rob, Lynn and John, it really does mean a lot to receive compliments especially from people who know the sign business as well as you folk do. Rob I don’t know how they make those embellishments for the money, a couple of quid for the bow I think. Lynn the sign is for my brothers new Villa in Tuscany.
