I’ve got called wednesday 19th december in the afternoon if I could paint some interior signage for a brand new museum on the grand place in Bruge. Deadline sunday before opening museum, they only let me work after closing time (20.00h) That evening I went over there to see the allready excisting signage.

Thursday evening went back to measure all excisting logos, height, width, line thickness, used fonts, etc. Send everything on scale, with my offer for approval late night, and got approval on friday…

After the museum closed I have painted (more stamped) everything, started with a thin thin layer of paint, and ended with a 4 layer stamped paint sign. Did this for 6 hours…

I have to be honest, it was not that easy at all, and not that smooth that I wanted to be, here and there some bits of paint that leaked.

Used material : Avery signmask blue, with medium tack app tape, and this had to be a low tack, because it was difficult removing the application paper without lefting the signmask vinyl!

Good sharp job Tim. Particularly on a textured ground. Nice one!

    Turned out nice and neat.
I myself absolutely loathe painting with a mask, it’s a pain in the hiney.
    You did a good job.
    Love….Jill

They look really good and very sharp.
It is a very frustrating job peeling application tape off so I feel your pain 😀

Look OK Tim & also you know you can take this sort of work on again if you should be asked. I have always shied away from this sort of work as I didn’t trust the stencil masks & as I can’t do traditional proper sign writing have always passed them on.
