    High bond velcro suppliers?

    Hi

    Does anyone know of a velcro tape with a high bond adhesive and if so who stocks it? It’s for joining a segmented backdrop made from 450gsm PVC banner material.

    i don’t know the grade of the adhesive on the tape but europoint do velcro adhesive tape hook and loop on a roll. that’s where i buy it but not something i often use.

    Hi John

    The only safe way to do that is to stitch the velcro on as I have found the adhesive strength varies hugely from brands, with temperature changes and different types of banner.

    John is right you really need to stitch the Velcro as the plasticizers in the banner will migrate the adhesive on the Velcro and ultimately cause it to fail.

    I was hoping that there would be something with a similar adhesive to banner tape. I’ll get back to the drawing board…
