I currently run a t-shirt printing company ( http://www.futurefreak.co.uk ) and a stall on Camden market selling my designs. I’ve been doing this for around 1.5 years now (wow – how time flies by!) I found this forum a few days ago and it’s really helped me in my quest to expand my business into the area of pvc vinyl cut banners to make more use of my Roland CX24 cutter.

It’s great to see lots of topics getting honest and frank answers from knowledgable people. Just got my first banner sample from Boldscan at a good price after seeing them recomended in a thread.

    hi from me too!! :welcome:

your website template is very good bye the way, not like some other t-shirts sites that cut corners, with the most important selling feature to sell on-line!! 😛

    hope you do well!! 😀

Hi Carrie, my name’s Paul 🙂

Glad ya like the kids designs – it’s always nice to get feedback on them.

I have to say that Boldscan were very helpful with my newbie questions and I was pleased with the sample when it arrived when they said it would. My first project is a banner for a club event that my flatmate is running – and this is an area that I’ll probably concentrate on – as I have a lot of contacts in this area due to also running a large community music/clubbing website: http://www.ush.net – which is also why a lot of my t-shirt designs are quite music related too 🙂

Am I correct in thinking that if I post 10+ “useful” posts – then my account can be upgraded so that I can see all the demo’s and tutorials?

The actual shop software is an open source php project called oscommerce ( http://www.oscommerce.com ) which IMO is excellent. I’ve added bits to it like the flash sections to choose your t-shirt designs, which hopefully I will package up at some point and give something back to the open source community. I just wished there were more hours in the day when running ya own company 🙂

Well I’ll be first in line!! Well done on your site. My OS Commerce site is almost finished but very blank compared to yours: http://www.honcho-sfx.com
    Any ideas appreciated!
