which in your opinion is the best membership? Don’t want to go for Bronze and find I cannot swap files?

As far as membership goes, I’d go for gold mate. 😛
Sharing fonts is a sore point with some…. Certainly free fonts from free font sites are OK, but sharing paid fonts is probably not a good idea.
Several members here have close ties to some of the font retailers, and it is considered unethical by others.
If you need text of a font you don’t have, and don’t want to pay for, any member that has it will supply it in an ai or similar file, just post a request and any number will oblige.
Thats not to say that everyone holds that view (I’m not trying to be anyones conscience here) but I don’t think paying a few quid for a good font is asking too much, especially as we are probably going to charge someone for our services, why shouldn’t the font maker expect some payment too….

thanks for that, what I really meant was if I was having difficulty in identifying a font it is nice to know someone here could tell me what it was. I agree with you about buying fonts, sometimes it is nice to buy a single one but often they come as a family.

😀 yes, there’s a few good folks on here that can identify a font a 50 paces!!!!!!!! Takes them seconds to do it! So you won’t be stuck!
But again those images are uploaded into the file swapping forum which is accessed by members.
Bronze membership, I’m sure allows you access into the file swapping forum. 😀
As Shane said, anyone not wanting to part with a font they’ve paid for usually will upload the text or whatever you need in the required font for you! -

love all aspects, initially was in exhibitions as in stands, team of workers all over europe and as manager i had vinyl’s cut and I fitted to help them out. 4 years ago I started my own business and could not find anyone local to be relied on so I purchased my own machine and hey…. got side tracked and all I do now is vans, well thats what I advertise anyway.

Enjoy the boards. If you are stuck on anything, the ‘search the boards’ facility at the top of the screen will probably find you some help if the subject has been broached before. Everything from which printer to go for to who’s the board’s most prolific boozers 😀 (That’s Nik and Marcella by the way :lol1: )
