Hey Everyone, from Reading
Hi All.
I own a small home based sign company set out alone properly in January – I am Still very much learning as I go along so some trial and error. Not claiming I produce the best work or even the most creative but the customer is always happy. I joined the site to get some ideas and hopefully some guidance without to much judgement. I recently fitted a sign and I am not happy with it the customer is but I used silver fittings with a black sign and now its up feel they stick out like a sore thumb 😳
I don’t want others to look at my work and think ROOKIE! or look like the artful bodger. Cheers. Steve

and welcome to the boards mate…new comer or not, the fact you are not happy with the standard of the simplest error in your work is actually a good thing. you clearly want it to be better and nobody can knock that, we all started out at some point. its up to us how we carry on…

Welcome to the forum Steve, as Robert says we all have to start somewhere & if your keen to learn you will find lots of help on the forum, any criticism given is constructive aimed at showing you were you could have done things differently & helping you to learn for the future.
I hate seeing fixings in a sign face but not always possible to hide them, if the fixings have to go through the face of the sign then some simple things you can do are to use fixings with heads the same colour as the board, cover the fixings with a small circle of cut vinyl the same colour as the board or even use a touch of paint over the fixings.
