Hexis vinyl – laminating and cutting
Hello, I am looking for advice from anyone who has used Hexis HXL300WG2 printed vinyl and the PL300CG2 laminate please.
I bought some for a job to use with a Versacamm 300 and laminate with an Easymount 880.
I have had a few issues with it so far. Firstly to laminate it seems generally more difficult than with previous vinyls I have used.
Secondly when I put it back into the Versamm to cut, if it’s a long sticker it seems to get caught on the floor and crease as it cuts.
Also, we cut twice, but what does anyone else do? It seems as if the vinyl ‘jumps’ so the second cut line is slightly off the first one.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

why cut twice is the material thick or hard.

The thought process was once for the laminate and the second time for the vinyl…….

you could think of it that way.
cut it in one go
as a rule if you cut normal vinyl at 60 then lam and vinyl around 95, do test cut to get it right.
then don’t let it crease on the floor -

We cut twice as this is one some one recommended for us to do but i agree what you are saying and think that it will be ok cutting once at moe pressure.Where you say about not letting it crease is there something that goes at the bottom of the frame on a versacamm as it is a as it takes it back through that when it hit floor it tries to crease rather than slidding on floor, i have got a laminate floor.
